Security of your personal data and information

In the course of your activities with TimeTonic, you may be asked to provide personal data or information to TimeTonic. For purposes of this Privacy Policy, the term "Personal Information" refers to information that can be used to identify you personally or related to such information, but does not include the name, username, title, business address or telephone number of an employee of a company. The term "data" refers to messages (timetones) and other information that you enter into TimeTonic, for example by text message, email, or via the web interface or our other APIs or services.
We may also use "cookies" from time to time to help personalize your online experience with us. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer to help make your visit to our website more user-friendly. Cookies provide us with information about your use of the site that can help us improve the site and your experience while visiting it. Any personal information collected about you through cookies will be treated in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you have set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies, you will receive a warning message with each cookie. You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser, but you should be aware that our site, like most other sites, does not function properly with cookies turned off.

We will do our best to ensure that our privacy policy is followed. However, we will not be responsible if the person does not comply with it.
In order to provide our services to you, your personal data and information may be collected, stored and/or processed or used by us or on our behalf in or outside of France by third party service providers or TimeTonic group companies, to perform operations on our behalf. As a result, courts, governments or law enforcement agencies in that country may be able to obtain disclosure of such information under the laws of that country.
Public or shared information
By default, all your personal data and information is confidential, except for your name and username, which may be visible to other users.
However, you may decide to use TimeTonic to share data with your family, friends, colleagues, teachers, doctors, etc. In this case, the data and information will be visible and accessible by the users with whom you share it. It is your responsibility to ensure that these people respect your privacy and the confidentiality of your data.
Note that you can also give these users rights to modify or add data to your shared logs. In this case it is your responsibility to ensure that you have their consent to share their data with others.
You can also add data, information or comments to shared logs created by and owned by other users. Be aware that these users may decide to share these logs with a large group of users. It is your responsibility to ensure that these people respect your privacy and confidentiality.
You may also choose to create public logs. This means that any information entered into these public logs will be visible to the world, and may appear in blogs, search engines, and may be distributed widely through our services and APIs.
Finally, you can add comments to other users' public logs. Be aware that all your comments on public logs are also public and are immediately visible to others.
Any information entered in public mode on TimeTonic is instantly visible and accessible to the world. We urge you to be careful with what you choose to make public.
Changes to the Privacy Policy
TimeTonic will occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect company and customer views or changes in privacy regulations. We recommend that you periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed about how TimeTonic is protecting your personal information.
Revocation of Authorization
Except as required by law, we will not use or disclose your Personal Data and Information for any reason whatsoever if you withhold or revoke your consent. If you revoke your consent, you agree that, notwithstanding the revocation, we may continue to use the Personal Information previously provided to us, to the extent that we are contractually obligated to do so and to fulfill any contractual obligations you may have to TimeTonic. You also understand that while you may use our site for certain purposes without providing us with Personal Information, we need certain Personal Information from you for certain services, including those that require payment or involve an ongoing relationship with TimeTonic or our partners. If you refuse to provide us with the information we request or later revoke your permission to use and disclose that information, we will no longer be able to provide those services to you.
You have the ability to give permission to other Users to link to all or part of your Data. By using this feature, you understand and agree that your Data will be accessible by these Users and that upon termination of your account or revocation of your permission all of your Data will be deleted, including the Data linked to by other Users.
