In a formula-type column, the COORDINATES() function creates a coordinates-type value from a pair of X and Y values.
Syntax
COORDINATES(x_value, y_value)
Calling function parameters in TimeTonic:
- $field_name = field (link, related table column, number, selection, formula, text...).
- "free text" = free text to add within quotation marks.
- do not use quotation marks for numbers.

Create a coordinate pair
COORDINATES(123, 456)
→ The function creates a pair of coordinates where 123 is the X value and 456 is the Y value.
Return type
The function returns a value of type coordinates.
The output type format of the result can be configured in the output field options of the formula editor. For more details, see Output format options in the Formula Column article.
Business use case
COORDINATES() stores a location from two numeric values: a point on a map view, equipment position, X/Y reference on a plan.
