Email allows you to enter an email address and send an email from TimeTonic to your default mailbox (Mail on Apple or Outlook on Windows).
You can also use this field to automate the sending of emails by interfacing with a tool such as Outlook or Gmail on Zapier.
Email Synchronization Behavior in TimeTonic
Sense of Synchronization:
- Email synchronization in TimeTonic works in one direction: emails are imported from the mailbox to TimeTonic, but any changes made to TimeTonic do not modify the contents of the mailbox itself.
Deleting Emails:
- If an email is deleted in the mailbox before being synchronized with TimeTonic, it will not be recovered.
Once an email has been synchronized with TimeTonic, deleting it in the mailbox has no impact on the email already imported into TimeTonic.
Initial Synchronization Rule:
- During the first synchronization, TimeTonic imports emails starting with the oldest unread email.
After this initial retrieval, TimeTonic imports all subsequent emails, regardless of their read status.
Additional precision:
- Synchronization is continuous after initialization and ensures regular retrieval of new emails, even if they are marked as read.
This allows you to keep an email history in TimeTonic without affecting email management from the original email client (like Outlook).
