TimeTonic allows you to create a secure mirror workspace from your source workspace. This feature lets you share customized views with your teams. The structure, consistency and security of your data stay intact.
The source workspace acts as the back office: it centralizes all data and configuration. The mirror workspace is a front office: a clean interface designed for end users.
1. What is a mirror view?
A mirror view is a duplicated view (table, form, Kanban, etc.) in another workspace. It remains synchronized in real time with the original view.
1.1 Main characteristics
2. How does a mirror view work?
3. What is a mirror view for?
Each user, their own data: filter the source view by user ID before sharing it. Each user then only sees their own rows → Filter a view by user ID for a mirror workspace
4. How do you create a mirror view?
5. What limits should you know?
User surfilters are not remembered. A user can filter or sort a shared mirror view. These settings are not kept from one session to the next. For permanent filtering, configure filters and sorts on the source view, in the admin workspace. The mirror view inherits them.
6. How do you remove a shared view?
Removing a shared view is done from the admin workspace. It removes the sharing of a view to a workspace.
Visual confirmation: the eye icon disappears from the view in the admin workspace. This view is no longer shared in any workspace.
