The Automatic Document column allows you to automatically generate pre-filled Excel or Word files with table data. Create a template for an invoice, a quote, or any other administrative document using TimeTonic.
Once set up, the column will display a URL allowing you to download the pre-filled document.

⚙️ Configuring the Automatic Document Column
1️⃣ Creating an Automatic Document Column
➡️ Adding a new column
- Click "Add a column" and select Automatic Document.
1️⃣ Selecting the template
- You can import a Word or Excel template as a pre-filled file.
- Alternatively, you can store a template in a File Attachment column for dynamic use.

- You can associate your document with a specific view in the database.

- Dynamic Name: Use a column containing an invoice number or concatenated text.
- Fixed Name: All generated files will have the same name.

- Check the "Export as PDF" option to automatically convert the document to PDF.
