The Planner view in TimeTonic allows you to visualize and organize data in a timeline format. It offers drag-and-drop functionality, quick event creation, and right-click editing. Events can be customized with filters and colors. It's an interactive and flexible tool for managing dates and projects.
Here are the steps to use this feature:
1️⃣ Access the Planner View:
1️⃣ Click on the view option from the table's horizontal bar to switch to the timeline display.
2️⃣ In the view mode form that opens, select the Planner View
🔧 Configuration options:
The Configure Planner View window opens 🛠️
1️⃣ Title 📝: Choose a field from your table to serve as the title for each element in the timeline.
2️⃣ Start Date 🕒: Select a Date 📅 field to define the start of your events.
3️⃣ End Date 🕓: Select a Date 📅 field to define the end of your events.
4️⃣ Group by 🗂️: Stack your records using linked table columns in the view table.

🎛️ Dynamic uses of the view:
The Planner 🗓️ view is automatically updated based on your table's data. Modify your fields in real time and see the changes directly in the timeline.
➡️ Drag and drop: Easily move your events within the timeline using drag and drop to reposition an event on the time range.
➡️ Adjust the layout: Stretch or shorten an event's time range in the timeline to adjust its duration using the small ↔️ handle that appears when hovering over the right or left edge of the element.
➡️ Create with a double-click: Double-click on an empty space in the timeline to create a new event. A form will open, allowing you to add the necessary details.
➡️ Open the record with a single click: Click once on an element to open its record.
➡️ Right-click for additional actions: Right-click on an event to access the options to delete or duplicate the record.
🔍 Apply filters: Use filters to display only relevant events.
💡Tip: To view data at a specific moment, filter your planner by clicking on the color legend to hide the records associated with that criterion. |
