Your workspace plan determines the available features and monthly usage quotas. TimeTonic offers four plans complemented by an initial trial period, suited to different team sizes and needs, from the discovery account to the multi-user enterprise plan.
This article explains the logic of each plan, guides you to the one that matches your activity, and details how user roles combine with the plan to determine what a member can actually do. For up-to-date pricing and commercial options, see the official pricing page.

Summary of Plans
When you create your account, you benefit from a free 30-day trial with the features of the Pro plan. At the end of this period, you choose to switch to Start, Pro, or Business according to your needs. If no choice is made, your account automatically switches to the Free plan.
Trial
30 days
Trial period
Free 30-day trial period offered at account creation, with full access to Pro plan features. Ideal for evaluating the platform on a real project before subscribing.
Typical profile: any new prospect, from freelancer to SME, who wants to test TimeTonic under real conditions.
Start
Small autonomous teams
For small teams wanting to organize information, plan resources, and automate daily processes. Includes API access, connectors, and native AI integrations.
Typical profile: micro-business or freelancer with 1 to 5 collaborators (craftsperson, consultant, small agency) automating quotes, forms, and client tracking.
Pro
Professional users
For teams needing fine role management, advanced views (Gantt, Map, Pivot), mobile offline mode, and private, secure AI hosted in France.
Typical profile: SME with 5 to 20 collaborators with mixed office and field teams (construction, services, healthcare), needing differentiated rights.
Business
Organizations and large teams
For organizations needing a secure and customizable platform, with governance requirements (SSO, HDS), high volume, and the ability to compose a mix of specialized licenses.
Typical profile: organizations starting from 5 collaborators (structured SME, mid-sized companies, large groups, regulated sectors) with users having varied uses.
Free
Discovery and default fallback
Lifetime free plan automatically assigned after the Trial if no subscription is made. Minimal quotas but basic features accessible to continue using the platform.
Typical profile: strictly personal use, extended discovery project, or account on hold awaiting possible paid upgrade.
Note: on the Free and Start plans, all users are administrators by default. Fine user role management is only enabled starting from the Pro plan.
For Which Type of Business
Rather than comparing features line by line, TimeTonic's logic is based on progression: each tier activates new capabilities that add to the previous ones. Here is how to identify the plan suited to your situation.
On Free: a discovery use
The Free plan suits personal use, prolonged individual testing, or an account on hold. It provides access to fundamentals: creation of unlimited workspaces, tables, standard fields, basic views (table, Kanban, calendar, form), native mobile app, collaboration, and chat. All users are administrators by default, without fine role management.
On Start: tools for micro-businesses and freelancers
The Start plan is for small teams of 1 to 5 collaborators who need to automate daily tasks: quotes, contact forms, document generation, client tracking. It adds Excel automations, Timeline view, API access, Zapier and Make connectors, ticket support, and initial AI features. It is the typical plan for a craftsperson, independent consultant, or small agency wanting to move beyond manual management without investing in a complex suite.
On Pro: fine management and advanced views
The Pro plan targets SMEs with 5 to 20 collaborators with mixed office and field teams. It is from this plan that fine user rights management is enabled: the five roles (Owner, Admin, User, Limited, Read-only) fully apply. Pro also adds mobile offline mode, Map, Gantt, and Pivot views, dynamic filters per connected user, external forms for clients or partners, and private, secure AI hosted in France. It is the right choice for a firm, a construction SME, or a structured after-sales service with technicians on site.
On Business: the modular enterprise formula
The Business plan is designed for organizations with governance, security, and volume requirements. It provides three major specific capabilities:
- Modular advanced security: optional HDS hosting (Health Data Host) with adjustable certification levels, and SecNumCloud option. SSO SAML authentication to integrate TimeTonic with your enterprise directory.
- Adjustable volume: additional capacity packs available to extend each quota (storage, automations, API, AI credits) beyond the included bases.
- Mix of specialized licenses: ability to compose your team with different types of licenses according to each user's actual use. This logic is detailed in the dedicated section below.
Business is the typical plan for an organization starting from 5 collaborators with varied profiles (designers, regular contributors, mobile field technicians, occasional external consultants) or a structure subject to regulatory constraints (healthcare, public sector, finance).
Understanding Your Quotas
Each plan includes capacity quotas (storage, database) and usage quotas (automations, API calls, document generation, AI credits). These quotas come in two distinct logics depending on the plan: default quotas identical for all accounts on the same plan, and quotas that increase with the number of licenses starting from the Pro plan.
Default quotas
Default quotas correspond to the base included in each plan. These are the values you see communicated on the official pricing page and which form the starting point of your subscription. The table below shows these base monthly quotas for each plan.
| Monthly Quota (base) | Free | Start | Pro | Business |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Storage space | 100 MB | 1 GB | 10 GB | 100 GB |
| Database capacity (rows × columns) | 10,000 | 100,000 | 1 M | 10 M |
| Automation executions | 50 | 500 | 5,000 | 50,000 |
| API access | 50 | 500 | 5,000 | 50,000 |
| External modification form access | : | : | 20 | 200 |
| Document generation (PDF, Word, Excel) | : | : | 40 | 400 |
| Public cloud AI credits | 10,000 | 100,000 | 1 M | 10 M |
| Private and secure AI credits | : | : | 1 M | 10 M |
| Change log history | 1 month | 3 months | 6 months | 1 year |
Usage quotas reset monthly. On the Business plan, additional capacity packs can be added to increase each quota individually. See the pricing page for details on available packs.
Quotas by number of licenses
Starting from the Pro plan, TimeTonic also applies an automatic quota increase logic based on the number of users: each additional license adds a bonus to all counters of the account. This mechanism does not apply to the Free and Start plans, which keep fixed quotas regardless of user count.
This is why the values shown in your interface (Administration → Plan and billing) may be higher than those in the previous table. For example, a Pro account with 10 licenses will display 1,450,000 private AI credits instead of 1,000,000, thanks to the nine additional users each adding 50,000 credits to the base.
| Bonus per additional user | Pro | Business |
|---|---|---|
| Storage space | + 1.25 GB | + 2.5 GB |
| Database capacity | + 50,000 | + 100,000 |
| Automation executions | + 250 | + 500 |
| API access | + 250 | + 500 |
| External modification form access | + 2.5 | + 5 |
| Document generation | + 5 | + 10 |
| Private and secure AI credits | + 50,000 | + 100,000 |
Calculation example
A workspace on the Pro plan with 10 licenses will have each month:
- Private AI credits: 1,000,000 (base) + 9 × 50,000 = 1,450,000
- Automation executions: 5,000 (base) + 9 × 250 = 7,250
- API access: 5,000 (base) + 9 × 250 = 7,250
These actual values are visible in Administration → Plan and billing.
The Business Plan: A Modular Formula
The Business plan is a modular formula designed to finely adapt to an organization's needs. Three dimensions can be adjusted: security, volume, and the mix of licenses assigned to your users.
Remember: plans cannot be mixed within the same account. A workspace is either entirely on Start, entirely on Pro, or entirely on Business. What is modular is only the types of licenses within the Business plan.
Optional additional certification
Business allows optionally activating HDS hosting (Health Data Host) with an adjustable certification level according to your needs (levels 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6), as well as the SecNumCloud option for organizations subject to the strictest requirements. SSO SAML authentication allows integrating TimeTonic with your enterprise directory.
Adjustable volume
If the base quotas and per-license bonuses are insufficient, additional capacity packs can be subscribed to extend each quota individually (storage, database, automations, API, AI credits, document generation). Details of available packs are on the official pricing page.
Mix of specialized licenses
Business is the only plan that allows you to compose a team with different types of licenses according to each user's actual use. A field technician uploading photos from their phone does not need the same access as a project manager designing workspaces. This logic allows finely adapting cost to actual use, rather than paying a full license for every collaborator.
| License type | Typical user |
|---|---|
| Read-only | User for consultation only, with the ability to export data. Suited for observers or auditors. |
| Daily pass | Occasional user billed per access day, without fixed monthly subscription. Suited for occasional users and external contractors. |
| Mobile-only | Field user who accesses TimeTonic only via the mobile app, typically a technician on site. |
| Basic | Standard user without access to all views |
| Contributor | Regular user without admin rights. Uses configured spaces daily by Creators. |
| Creator | Designs workspaces and administers the account. Full rights to create and manage users and structures. |
Minimum requirement: the business plan starts from 5 users. License types can then be freely combined within the same workspace to compose your team.

Role and Plan: The Intersection Rule
What a user can actually do in TimeTonic depends on two independent dimensions: their role and the workspace plan. Effective rights correspond to the intersection between the two.
The role
What the user is allowed to do in a workspace: create, modify, delete, export, manage other users.
The plan
What the platform technically makes available: API access, view types, quotas, integrations, security levels.
The intersection
A user can use a feature only if their role allows it and if the plan permits it.
Two concrete examples
Example 1: a user with the Admin role on a Pro plan workspace. This user can create and modify tables, manage other users, configure automations, and use the API. However, they cannot activate SSO SAML or set up HDS hosting, because these options are only available on the Business plan. In this case, it is the plan that restricts, not the role.
Example 2: a user with the admin role on a business plan workspace. On business, this admin can configure scheduled import/export via FTP, set up SSO SAML for their organization, and access all advanced capabilities of the plan. However, they cannot delete a workspace or transfer ownership: these actions are reserved for the Owner role, even on Business. In this case, it is the role that restricts, not the plan.
Changing Your Plan or Adding Licenses
Your needs evolve over time: new collaborators to integrate, increasing volume, enhanced rights and security, more automations. Depending on your need, two distinct paths apply.
Add or remove licenses
Self-service
If your team grows or shrinks within your current plan scope, you can adjust the number of licenses yourself directly from your Administration → Plan and billing space. The change is immediate.
Example: you are on Pro with 8 licenses and hire 2 new people → you move to 10 licenses in a few clicks.
Change plan
With a sales representative
If you want to switch from one plan to another (for example from Pro to Business), a discussion with a TimeTonic sales representative is necessary to assess your needs and compose the right combination of plan and licenses.
Example: you are on Pro and need SSO or HDS hosting for security constraints → switch to Business with a sales representative.
Why a sales representative for changing plans?
Plan changes between Start, Pro, and Business are not automated via the billing space. A commercial discussion validates the expected functional scope, properly sizes the number of licenses, and composes the right license mix on the business plan (Creator, Contributor, Mobile-only, Read-only, Daily pass, Basic).
